Top 5 Memes About Self Awareness

Understanding yourself seems like it should be easy.

We can see our own thoughts because we are the ones thinking them.

While self awareness is simple (or can be simple), it is not so easy.

Here are the top five memes to challenge your reflection skills.

Have you not been healed inside or had your sins forgiven ? Maybe that says more about you than it does about whether there is a God to heal and forgive you.

But how much do people want to be aware of themselves and what they settle for ?

People act like the smallest flaw in a path is a justification to do anything else that they want to indulge in.

And then they act surprised when the flaws of that path are vastly worse.

Often times people want the option that looks and sounds the most spectacular to the whole world but are not willing to make the good choices when no one is watching.

I saw someone on social media say her life was ruined by going to church as a child.

Everyone poured out their condolances !

I thought, “that hasn’t been my experience at church … this sounds fishy”. So I asked her how church ruined her childhood.

She said it “stole two hours” of her life every week.

So I wonder if her school “stole” more than two hours of her week, or now her job “steals” forty hours of her week.

Because that sounds like a lot more than two hours.

And then I made this meme.

Carrie Nation seems like a radical to me, but when I lionize her in my mind I sympathize with myself and overlook our differences.

I think it’s easy to put Jesus on a pedestal and ignore what He actually taught about trust and how the Father wants to be obeyed.

What we need to do is be honest with ourselves about our flaws and differences and make the effort to seek out healing and better living.
